Schools in Kottayam have old, Kerala style, tiled roofs. In the heavy monsoons of Kerala, these aren't always the most long lasting, and almost every year, some amount of repair is required to strengthen the roof or to replace broken tiles. This year too (2017-18), a section of the roof needed to be repaired for both the UP and HS blocks.
